Guecha del Paramo

Legend has it that the ancient Muiscas venerated the sacred mountains with a devotion that they believed came from distant spirits, whose mysticism permeated the lands of the paramos. This deep connection with nature was unquestionable for them. At the same time, the Güechas, brave warriors, defended the Guerrero moorland with honor against the incursions of the Panches, a legacy that persists in the majestic frailejones. Today, the Güechas of the Páramo continue this tradition, protecting the ecosystem and transmitting its knowledge throughout Colombian geography.
